Pens are precision instruments with billions in use worldwide. Most are kept in a draw, a mug or under a pile of papers. 
I love pens of quality, names like Mont Blanc, Cross, Shaeffer and others to name but a few. They are, to many people, very desirable, as they offer confidence to the user, portray their image, personality and have a character all of their own. 
There are certainly pen holders available and even desk accessories, but non that I ever found can do justice by showing off those high quality, often high priced fountain pens, roller ball pens and mechanical pencils that are so carefully made, detailed often with unique features and designs.
